Ten years to learn
to do less.

My name is Giovanni and I've been keeping marine aquariums for ten years. I started from the basics, making the same mistakes many people make. Maybe everyone. Today I keep Acropora SPS with a very simple idea: give less, but consistently, and look at the tank before the tests.
Ten years, many mistakes
For years I poured product after product into the tank: bottles, additives, boron, potassium, trace elements. I was convinced that the more I gave the corals, the more they would grow. Every time something went wrong I added a new product. And every new product brought a new problem.
When I stopped chasing
Over time I realised the wiser path is a different one: give less, and always in the same way. Watch the tank instead of chasing the magic number, like nitrates at 5 because someone said that's the right value. A stable tank regulates itself, given time. And no miracle method, no guru of the moment, is worth more than patience.
My routine
Every day I feed the fish frozen food: brine shrimp and krill, or a mix of crustaceans I buy at the fishmonger, prepare and freeze in portions, a little at a time every day. I keep KH, calcium and magnesium, temperature and salinity stable. Nitrates and phosphates must be there, not zeroed out. That's all. Nature does the rest.
What you'll find here
My tank in photos and videos, the live parameters (they're the real ones, taken from my app) and a growing coral database. In the forum you'll find the articles where I share what I've learned, and a place to talk without fads and without useless bottles. Soon also frags of the corals grown in this tank.
